Taman Nasional Wakatobi Sulawesi Tenggara

    Wakatobi National Park is one of 50 nasoinal parks in Indonesia, located in Wakatobi district, Southeast Sulawesi. This national park was set in 2002, with a total area of 1.39 million ha, involving marine biodiversity, scale and coral conditions; which occupies one of the highest priority positions of marine conservation in Indonesia. Water depth in this national park varies, the deepest reaches 1,044 meters below sea level.     Wakatobi National Park consists of four major islands, namely: Wangi-wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia, and Binongko located in Wakatobi District, Southeast Sulawesi.     Coral reefs can be found hundreds of species from dozens of families located along hundreds of km of coastline. .      Karimunjawa is a sub-district in Jepara, Central Java which is an archipelago in the middle of the Java Sea. Located about 83 km north of the city of Jepara, Karimunjawa Islands consists of 27 islands, but only 5 islands are uninhabited. The main tourist potential of the Karimunjawa Islands is the beauty of the sea. Because of the tourism potential of the marine park, the archipelago was designated as one of Indonesia's national parks in 2001.      According to local people's story, the origin of Karimunjawa's name is from the story of Shaykh Amir Hasan, son of Sunan Muria who is naughty and is a disciple of Sunan Kudus. He was thrown into the archipelago when viewed from a distance called the cucumbers in the Javanese language or mean vaguely in the Indonesian language. Lake Weekuri is a saltwater lake located in Kalenarogo Village, North Kodi District, Southwest Sumba District, East Nusa Tenggara. Lake Weekuri is located about 60 kilometers from the district capital, Tambolaka. The name Weekuri comes from the Sumba wee language which means water and kuri which means grated or splashed. Lake Weekuri is believed to be formed from seawater splashed through the reef so that it penetrates to the mainland. The lake is indeed surrounded by a rock that separates it by the sea. Local myth mentions that Weekuri is reputedly the name of a village that was drowned by the overflow of seawater. Lake Weekuri shaped oval with a length of about 150 meters and width farthest 50 meters. The depth of the lake ranges from 30 cm to 2.5 meters at low tide but can reach five meters at sea tide.
